City of College Park has Been Awarded $300,000 in Funding
The City of College Park has been awarded $300,000 in funding through the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development’s (DHCD) grant program. This grant will assist in the revitalization of business spaces within the community, supporting economic development by helping existing small business owners relocate and attracting new businesses to the city. The awarded funding will be utilized to activate vacant commercial properties, providing funding assistance for fit-out renovations for these 6 designated spaces:

- 9825 Rhode Island Ave – College Park, MD 20740
- 7401 Baltimore Ave 1C College Park, MD 20740
- 7416 Baltimore Ave – College Park, MD 20740
- 7410 Baltimore Ave – College Park, MD 20740
Governor Wes Moore announced that DHCD has awarded more than 16.2 million to 121 businesses, local governments, and place-based economic development organizations to catalyze community revitalization efforts. In Prince George’s County, the City of College Park joins the town of Mount Rainier and the Town of Cheverly as the Project Restore 2.0 grant recipients.
The City is excited to take advantage of this opportunity to assist local businesses impacted by development and to help small businesses that are looking to join the community. The City’s commitment to revitalizing these properties aligns with building a more economically resilient College Park.
