Dear Neighbor,
Each month, my team invites business leaders, innovators, and unique individuals from Maryland’s Fourth District to star in what we call “Constituent Spotlight.” There is so much talent in our community that we could never cover it all! But that won’t stop us from trying.
The culture in Prince George’s County is incredibly diverse. You can see it on our college campuses, you can hear it in our music, and you can taste it in our restaurants. Our community cherishes inclusion, so we must protect those who are subject to discrimination. This means pushing back against short-sighted policies that hurt immigrants, minorities, and their businesses.
For this week’s Constituent Spotlight, I visited Ricardo & Rosario, owners of Ritchie’s Colombian Restaurant in College Park. Ritchie’s is an outstanding example of a minority-owned small business thriving in the face of economic and political uncertainty.
Stay tuned! There are many more Constituent Spotlights to come. As always, you make me proud to represent Maryland’s Fourth District.
Sincerely,
Rep. Glenn Ivey
Member of Congress
