Commercial Property Improvement Program (CPIP) Grants
Now Accepting Applications: Commercial Property Improvement Program (CPIP) Grants
The Redevelopment Authority of Prince George’s County is now accepting applications for the 2025–2026 Commercial Property Improvement Program (CPIP), which offers grant funding to help revitalize eligible commercial properties throughout Prince George’s County. The program supports exterior façade improvements, placemaking, lighting, and major building system upgrades for underperforming retail centers and main street storefronts.
Grant awards range from $25,000 to $350,000 and reimburse up to 50% of eligible construction costs, requiring applicants to provide a 50% funding match. Eligible applicants must own qualifying commercial properties within Prince George’s County; properties used exclusively for places of worship or non-retail purposes are not eligible, and shopping center owners who received CPIP funding between 2019 and 2024 are ineligible for this funding cycle. Applications are due by July 31, 2026, at 5:00 PM.
