Iron Rooster Announces New Location in College Park, Maryland
Iron Rooster, a full-service restaurant that offers “breakfast all day,” brunch and drinks is expanding operations to College Park, Maryland.
The new location is just steps away from the University of Maryland campus and will operate out of The Hotel at University of Maryland; with its doors located through the lobby and its space boasting patio views of the iconic college entrance.
Known for its wide-ranging menu and famous homemade Roostarts, the popular restaurant will bring a big boost to the city’s dining scene as a vibrant hotspot for locals, students, professionals and families.
“Having the opportunity to serve College Park is a dream come true,” said Kyle Algaze, owner and founder, Iron Rooster. “This city deserves a taste of Maryland’s best with some of the finest hospitality and that’s exactly what we’re going to deliver.”
The new location will open Winter 2023.
“For over 150 years, College Park has been a center of education, experimentation and exploration, a place where creative minds pursued innovations first in agriculture, then in flight,” Algaze said. “College Park has been a wonderful partner to small businesses and working with City Manager Kenny Young and Director of Business Development Michael Williams has been extraordinary. We look forward to being a cornerstone of this thriving community for many years to come.”
The Hotel at University of Maryland has been successfully operating since 2017. The four-star operation is owned and operated by Southern Management Companies.
“Not only do we get the opportunity to serve College Park but we get to serve guests in one of Maryland’s finest hotels,” said Aglaze. “We’re thrilled to work hand in hand with Southern Management.”
The Iron Rooster has been featured on news outlets from Baltimore to D.C. and highlighted on social media by Ravens and Orioles stars as a favorite spot to dine. The restaurant has become a staple in the community for its charitable work from the Special Olympics to preparing meals for underserved communities.
